About Cindy
I love helping students learn skills that they can use for playing music they love! I have many years of experience teaching kids and teens and adults and have seen so many enjoy the music making process! Classical foundation with supplemented styles as well.
I began teaching while still a student at the Cleveland Institute of Music in their preparatory department, in conjunction with my pedagogy classes. Afterwards, I branched out privately.

I will work with the parent or student in learning their goals. After a foundation is built we can branch into other styles if desired. I consider note-learning and technique very important, but it will not get in the way of making music!
I have taught very beginners as young as 4. I have taught shy, outgoing, and teens and adults.
Be willing to dedicate yourself to regular practice. Look for a teacher who is enthusiastic and has experience. If looking for your child, the teacher should love kids. A trial lesson is helpful if offered. I do!
Always enjoy annual student recitals! An opportunity to reflect on students’ progress, while enjoying some fun music!

Cindy is a gifted teacher and very good at motivating her students. She has instilled a love for music in both my children. She recognizes their strengths as well as areas that need more work and tailors their lessons accordingly.
The flexibility with my very busy Mom schedule. Yet Cindy still fits my kids in and they really enjoy the lessons. Music is a wonderful gift to share. I also appreciate the $20 lesson amount.
Two of our children (10 & 14 years old) are taking piano lessons with Cindy and have both grown in their ability and love for music! We couldn’t be happier!
Cindy is an outstanding teacher! My 12 year old son started taking lessons with her less than a year ago and had never played the piano before. Cindy is dependable, outstanding with her piano skills. I believe Cindy finished at Cleveland Institute of Music, she has an amazing performance. Our kids enjoys her teaching and excels with Cindy at a great level each week. We had had piano teachers prior Cindy and I have been teaching our kinds when needed, but Cindy by far the best out of all. I definitely recommend Cindy for your kids or yourself. You will not be disappointed, but encouraged.
