About Betsi
I adapt lessons to the preferences and interests of each student. I enjoy teaching a natural, fun style that is adaptable to anyone and for any occasion.
I love those a-ha moments when students realize that they can experiment and create their own music - and really integrate all of themselves into what they're singing and playing!
I studied at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music where I took classes in pedagogy as well as performance and opera workshops.
I have many years of church music, choir, musical theater and opera experience as a pianist, singer, actor, stage manager and producer!

I listen to students' goals and tailor lessons to their abilities and interests.
With younger students I often work with their own creative impulses and let them write their own stories and melodies so they can start becoming composers at a young age!

She was passionate, patient, and gave great visuals such as imaging my voice being carried away from me keeping a steady tone and then visualizing it coming back to me with the same control. Being a visual person this helped me immensely. Look forward to my next lesson.
Betsi makes you truly comfortable in singing in front of others. She’s extremely supportive. She has a talent of supporting your strengths and growing those- she’s incredibly affirming and allows her students to feel confident. She doesn’t criticize and shame her students, rather praises and enables growth.
