About Charlie
Professional photographer in NYC with a unique vision for traditional and non-traditional photography media and a passion for lighting a fire in the belly of my students to share the gift of photography and seeing the world!
I have always enjoyed helping others through out life and have enjoyed working with people of all different backgrounds. This led me to teaching as another way of supporting myself as a photographer.
BFA, have taught local and destination workshops, over 5 years at Photo Manhattan photography school, appeared several times on Adorama TV and learning center.

I like speaking with a student to see what their goals are, and how I can help them to reach those goals. We then devise a plan of action together to give them the skills to accomplish the task.
I have had the pleasure of working with students from over 42 different countries in the past 5 years here in New York. I love meeting new students and getting passionate about photography together in classes!
Photography is a gift and a journey! I can help you no matter if you simply want to make better vacation photos or better images for social media, or I can also help you to pursue professional ambitions or higher education for photography.
I had the pleasure of making several appearances on Adorama TV this year. I will never forget when my model told me seconds before we were to go live on our first appearance to not mess up, and all of a sudden we were live in front of 8000 people online!

I took a private lesson with Charlie on my trip to New York City, and I knew nothing about my camera going in. Not only did Charlie teach me my camera, but he went out of his way to suggest and take me to places around Manhattan to shoot that I said I was interested in for our classes! Thank you, Charlie!

Charlie is simply the best! Not everyone knows how famous that he really is, and I was lucky enough to take his class in NYC! He is so knowledgeable about everything in photography, and has been in Vogue, GQ, and more. If you are looking for a teacher, I highly recommend that you book Charlie! He is worth every penny!

Learning
Learning that there are no rules. Charlie teaches that the settings of the camera are simply tools for finding your own style of visual communication. Great!
Understanding how to set up ISO, F-stop, and shutter in manual mode. I felt a lot more confident in my understanding of settings immediately in the first class with Charlie (great teacher!). By our last session, I felt like a wizard!

I took advanced DSLR with Charlie, and it was challenging at first, but doable. Charlie is very patient and good at explaining concepts multiple ways to understand.
Reviewed all of the basics to build into new work - critique of work is very helpful!
