There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the hustle pay off when my students see their work printed in the trophy case at school, in a magazine, an online publication, an influencer's account, even a billboard!
It's been the best 12 years of my life and I've photographed thousands of faces, certified as a coach, created my own coaching method, and been published in magazines and billboards myself! Now I'm sharing everything I know with you!

It's a different look for everyone, but I always know what it means. The look of pride. The look that says "I totally did it!" When you see your results from your own hands and you can only give yourself the credit...that's the greatest feeling in the world. I could live off of that feeling.
Collaboration. Friendships. Hanging out. All of it - the time we spend together and the ideas we come up with - it's really not something you can put a price on. It's why I am obsessed with what I do.
In 2011, some of my clients asked if I would teach a photography basics class. I invited them to my studio and taught the basic workings of a camera. They all had different cameras, so I learned the workings of their brands and taught them how to photograph in manual mode. We had models come in to the studio and they practiced what they learned. They not only learned how to photograph in manual mode, but they all became photographers in their towns. It was so much fun that I began to teach more and more. I taught my assistant everything I knew. I allowed everyone who asked to shadow me on sessions. I answered every email and message. I shared all the knowledge I could freely because I wished someone had helped me when I first started. It has always been my practice to share knowledge when asked. One simple answer can really help someone out. If it gets too involved, I invite them to my courses or classes, which are all online or in person, now.
Over the past 25 years, I have served as President, Vice President, CEO, Marketing Director, Owner, Co-Owner, Certified Trainer, Director of Sales, Director of Photography, Manager, Assistant Manager, Associate, Office Manager and Office Administrator in multiple businesses - small businesses, my own businesses, and corporate businesses.
I opened a CrossFit gym, yoga and JiuJitsu studio where we trained over 50 members.
I opened and ran a photography studio/salon hybrid where I worked and built a business for over 12 years, taught photography for over a decade, and finally decided that my best path was to close the brick-and-mortar version and open in my garage, teach photography from it, and certify as a Photography and Life Coach in 2019. I trained in this method because I found that it is much more personal and customized than other methods...coaching is not made to look at the past and fix it, like counseling or therapy is, although I healed more relationships and trauma with coaching than I ever had with therapy. Coaching is not executed with methodical or repetitive reading exerpts like traditional teaching curriculums, and does not typically include lesson plans or binders and formulas. Coaching is a method that is developed to take what you already know and direct you towards your future. I use a blend of mentoring and coaching to close that gap between your dreams and your reality. Because your dreams are about what you want, not about what I think is best for you.
I have created a method that will not only get you to your dream results, but get you feeling better emotionally and physically while you get there, help you make money if that's what you want, help you learn the methods and techniques that enhance your skills, and build a career or hobby - it's your choice!
I have helped dozens of aspiring photographers to begin on their artistic journey, to level up, even to master their craft, though the journey is truly never over and that is one of the great joys of an artist's life.

You will be a better photographer on your first day, guaranteed! You'll learn something incredible and new that will amplify your talent every time, plus we'll work on things YOU want to do...not just things you've done over and over or busy work that isn't memorable.
Instead of a lesson plan that's prepared by me, we prepare something that is completely and totally all about YOU!
My first students were a group of grandmothers who just wanted to photograph their grandchildren. And sunsets. They ended up becoming incredible photographers. I have since taught high school students, college students, mothers, fathers, children, models, real estate agents, my own children, my cousins, countless online courses, photography students in college, professional photographers, actors, producers, musicians, farmers...the list is exhaustive.
Research, research, research, and then relax! Look around at some of the pros...see whose style you can relate with - what do you like...is there anything you don't love...what is it that you like? The relax part is more about the numbers. Followers are important for some reasons, and not for others. If you love someone's work, don't sweat the number of followers. If you'd love to learn how to do what they do, don't be afraid to ask if they have a mentoring program, a course, or some tips and tricks! If they say no you're in the exact same spot as you started. But if they say YES you're going to improve like CRAZY! Years ago, I once dug up an email and asked my FAVORITE photographer if she had a mentoring program. She emailed me back! She was working on one!!! It was renowned and award winning photographer Sue Bryce! Her program has taught me more than you can imagine and I was one of the very first students!!!! What a wealth of information I received by being one of the first!
Most recently I photographed an event for 10,000 Beds, a non-profit that raises funds and provides scholarships for addiction treatment in vetted programs throughout the United States. Their presentations, speakers, celebrities, performances, concert, authors, donors, catering, entertainment and other details were an honor to photograph. I always learn a lot when I photograph out of my specialty, which is headshots.
