About Joshua
What makes me stand out is that I'm a black photographer with one functioning eye. That eye is my career and my life and my vision. I see things a certain and I'm patient with my eye. I love the detail and I love watching beautiful moments that I find so interesting.
Being able to teach people is so amazing, i take it very seriously and passionately. The way I teach is that I go at your speed. I teach the way I understand the medium but I want you to explore your own individual feel, then I'll help you develop that and understand.
I studied at the Maine College of Art for 2 years and finished my BFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in photography, art therapy, and creative writing; at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have mentored fellow peers.
Also outside of photography, I have taught 16 people at my job as a bike mechanic for Divvy Bikes, how to safely work on bikes. Teaching and training them on everything and working one on one. So far over the past 4 months, we have had the best performance of any other mechanic crew in the company. I care about the people I teach/train. I do my best to set them up for success and help them turn failures into learning points.

Joshua is fantastic to work with. He was extremely professional and timely with responses or tasks. He takes every detail into account. At my event, he was punctual and sociable, which put subjects at ease around him. He expressed having a great time and it was great knowing that the photographer I hired was able to enjoy himself and socialize while still doing a fantastic job. The turnover time was unreal! Shots were made available to me within 2-3 days. He was even able to piece together a video of the event which was above and beyond.
