About Kim
A firm believer in education, I have devoted my fitness career to taking classes, attending conferences and gaining knowledge in order to offer the best, safest experience possible to my clients. I have more than 1000 hours of yoga teacher training and have taught thousands of yoga classes and other fitness classes to a variety of populations. As an ACE personal trainer, I infuse my yoga knowledge to tailor a training program to meet your needs, whether it's to lose weight, gain strength, flexibility, or improve your health overall. In addition to my ACE certificate, I am E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance, and hold a variety of other fitness certifications. I have been a lover of fitness since my youth, but I made it a career choice more than 15 years ago.
Above all, I love helping people feel great and learn to become the best version of themselves possible. It is an honor to walk the path to better health with all my students, and I continue to be inspired by their journies.
A back injury which took 18 months of on and off chiropractic care, physical therapy, and massage therapy convinced me that getting in good physical condition should be a priority rather than something I could do in my spare time. As a mom of three with a full-time job, I had not been taking the time for myself. I made a commitment to fix my body and become pain free, and through the process wanted to share that with others, so I became a teacher.

I have a phone conversation or face to face meeting to determine a client's needs and answer questions pertaining to the service. If we're a good fit, I provide an intake form to assist the client to flesh out goals and identify areas to work on. Our first meeting session usually involves fitness assessment or a yoga assessment and discussion of the intake form. I then design a program based on the client's needs and goals.

Oldest client - 96 years old
Conditions: MS, Parkinson's Disease, Congenital Heart Failure, Asthma, Cancer, Diabetes, Obesity/Overweight, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Injured/Rehabbing
Check for experience and education. Unfortunately, anyone can call themselves a yoga teacher or personal trainer, but it's important that you find someone no only experienced, but has the education to back it up as well. There's a big difference between someone with a weekend workshop certicate and one who has committed years to accruing education, and continues to pursue education. Also, make sure you feel comfortable with the teacher and that you feel respected by the teacher.
Our Summer Slim Down group was a great experience for the 12 of us as we learned how to let go of things that were weighing us down. We cleared our homes of clutter, we cleared our lives of clutter, we cleared our diets of clutter, and we cleared our bodies of clutter. Each experienced transformations in one area or another. Goals were accomplished. Friendships were made. It was wonderful!
