About Greg
My wife Keri and I have been helping our clients move better, get stronger and live healthier for almost 30 years. We take a common sense approach to fitness and nutrition and make our time with our clients educational and fun. We are both National Academy of Sports Medicine certified trainers. My wife focuses on nutrition coaching and I focus on the rehabilitation side of exercise, especially with clients out of physical therapy. We both believe in teaching proper mechanics and our "style" of training is more movement based, focusing on building strong movement patterns for real world strength!
I have an engineering background and always watched what others did at "the gym" i noticed that not much ever changed and I thought that was the whole point. I decided to start studying and earned my first certification in 1999.
19 years experience working with clients with injuries, sports performance, rehab/physical therapy and client who need guidance and education on what's the best thing for them in regards to exercise and nutrition.

Our interview process with new clients includes getting to know their history and current wants and needs. We take every new client through several movement profiles based on their activity/lifestyle to determine the best place to start with their training program.
Our client base has included rehab patients with joint replacements, high school athletes to semi-pro athletes, moms and dads who want to boost their energy levels to keep up with their busy lives and even retired couples who want to stay strong and healthy to be able to enjoy their retirement.
First piece we always give is interview your prospective trainer! Make sure they have the educational background and experience to help you get what you need. One quote I always seem to use is " you can't expect a 20 year old trainer to understand how to take care of a 50 year old client. They haven't lived that part of their lives yet." There's no substitute for experience when it comes to the training business. Make sure no matter what, you hire a trainer that knows what they're doing. Remember, you're putting your life in their hands. They need to be qualified!

Number one, how is this going to benefit me, short term and long term?
This is an investment, first and foremost. It's not free, and the better quality trainer you hire, it isn't cheap. Make sure you can afford to invest the time and finances to do this.
