About Terri B
My service stands out, because, I let each student discover their own styles . My teaching method is NOT, "see me do, then you do".
I discuss colors, objects, and places to have the student see their visual minds eye, and paint from there. Colors are taught by using blue, yello, magenta. These primary colors can mix hundreds of colors. Everyone is amazed.
I enjoy instructing students in creativity with paint, brushes, paper or canvas, because of the moment they realize they love their own art. Each student gains confidence taking them through careers and through life.
Teaching comes naturally to me. I love explaining how paint properties work and interacts with paper or canvas.
Over 30 years as a Professional artist painting murals, commercial and residential art.

Meeting student and discussing interests (in person or skye, facetime. Gaining knowledge of style by some previous art by photos, and getting an understanding of the goals desired.
I have taught hundreds of children through school system, field trips, after school classes, and birtday eveny parties.
Look for a relaxed person able to adapt to different styles and encourages your progess.
My team and I painted a large mural in The Sylvia Barr Center at our new hospital in Adel, Southwell Medical Center.

Perfect! I love the fact that we can meet online via Skype. I have learned so much from my teacher! Using and mixing colors has already saved me so much money. I have started to paint more and I can snap a picture to send to my teacher. I really like the amount of time that we are spending one on one to learn the basics. I would enjoy group work as I learn more!

My daughter has went to Something Original for art classes since she was a young age and is still going at age 15. She has learned a lot. Something Original is the place to go to learn how to do art. Mrs. Terri is a very thorough teacher. I would definitely recommend Something Original.
Her attention to details as well as her compassion for others! Terri always encourages her students no matter their age! My children have taken classes from her and I have enjoyed a class from her as well! She can pull the beauty out of anything!! Even through her limited physical vision, she has more talent than I have with two good eyes!! I am so thankful for how she has blessed me, my children, and this community!!

My son took painting classes from Ms Terri (Something Original) several times in his gifted program at school. He enjoyed every class and enjoyed displaying his work at the end of each year. She gave him confidence in painting and was easy to learn from.
I have had two kids learn from Terri and she is awesome! They learned so much and have painted amazing things.
Terri allows each child to freely express themselves artistically. She listens to what they want to create, and helps them do it. She does not force them do to what everyone else does, or what she wants them to do. The children love it! They are so proud of their color mixing skills and the art they create. Very highly recommended!
