Wandering Shinobi brings the dojo to you! Now serving the Longmont community with over 20 years of martial arts experience, and over 10 years of Ninjutsu experience. The unique and powerful art of To-Shin Do ninjutsu provides lessons for living life fully, freely and fearlessly. Train on your time, in your preferred space, with one of Colorado's most qualified ninjutsu instructors.
Casey Toland is a 3rd degree black-belt in the art of Kasumi-An To-Shin Do Go-Shin Taijutsu, the modern evolution of ninjutsu brought to western world by Black-Belt Hall of Fame member Stephen K. Hayes.
Casey was awarded the warrior name "Boutoshi" (meaning warrior of the abundant blade) by Stephen K. Hayes, in reference to the abundance of passion and spirit he brings to the martial arts. Additionally, he is the Senior Instructor at Boulder Quest Center, under the tutelage of his teachers Ian Leitoshi Sanderson and Ian Hyotoshi Pucek.
Casey began his study of To-Shin Do in 2008 as a long-distance student, while in college at Angelo State University.
He moved to Boulder, Colorado in 2013 to study To-Shin Do at the Boulder Quest Center, and quickly became involved in dojo's Coach/Trainer/Instructor program. In 2018 He was awarded the title Senior Instructor by his teacher Ian Hyotoshi Pucek.
Wandering Shinobi is his personal effort to expand the life lessons of Kasumi-An To-Shin Do to Longmont, Colorado and the surrounding area.
Casey Toland is a 3rd degree black-belt in To-Shin Do, the ninja martial arts as taught by Black-Belt Hall of Fame member Stephen K. Hayes, and is a licensed instructor under 6th degree black-belt master instructor Ian Pucek.
Additionally Casey has a Bachelor's degree and holds black-belt ranks in Olympic Tae-Kwon Do and Shorin Ryu Karate, with training experience in Modern Arnis and Lung-Ying Kung-Fu.

Shikin Harimitsu Daikomyo! This old Japanese verse translate to "Every encounter can lead to the enlightenment we seek."
At Wander Shinobi we believe this is absolutely true, as such the initial introduction process is important.
New students are interviewed to determine their desires, needs and goals, before training ever begins.
Once the interview process is complete new students will begin training in the fundamentals of movement and venture into the study of their desired lessons.
If you agree with the idea there is always more to learn no matter what belt rank you have and you are able to open your mind to radically different ideas and ways of doing things, are older than 16 and if you are willing to take part in an application and interview process to ensure you and Wandering Shinobi are a match, then we should definitely talk. No previous experience required!
If you are looking to hire a martial arts teacher I would encourage you to really look at what those teachers are offering and evaluate your goals. Most importantly get to know the teacher and determine their perspective. Why do they teach? What has the art they teach done for them?
Determine their moral and ethical values. Are they looking to make the world a better place, or are they hoping to feed their ego?

Many teacher's claim to offer all of these and it usually not true. Interview the teacher, ask questions and determine if that teacher is offering what you are looking for.
