About Allison
Hello! My name is Allison and I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!). After graduating from Pitt, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina. I have been teaching in the Charleston area for eleven years. I have taught or currently teach Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, AP AB Calculus (Calculus 1), and AP BC Calculus (Calculus 2). I am National Board Certified, and I have my Master's Degree in Math Education. In 2021, I have been voted as my school's Teacher of the Year. I have helped numerous of people improve their math grades or their math scores (standardized testing) and I hope I can help you too! I love math and my job! I look forward working with you!
I love tutoring. I love working with a person one-on-one and not only getting to see the light in their eyes light up once they understand difficult math material but also getting to know them on a personal basis.
I thought I was going to graduate with my Math Degree and go into business but then I fell in love with helping students and a passion was born. I am passionate about teaching, helping students, and MATH!
