I can use multiple ways to explain mathematics. Mathematics is used in every day life without people knowing, and I can use every day examples to not only relieve their fears/misunderstandings of mathematics, but also to engage my students in a way they understand.

My priority will be to deal with the current curriculum at hand, whether that be homework or prepping a test/quiz. However, most students will already have gaps or deficiencies in their understanding of mathematics, either due to poor school system or teacher, or family/life situations, so my next task will be to assess the students' deficiencies and use any opportunity possible to fill in those gaps while still fulfilling my first priority, which is to shore up their current curriculum. Once that is cleared, I will start to work on filling in the gaps.
