About Les
I teach a wide variety of subjects in person, online, and to groups. Currently I teach on Zoom. I have been teaching English, French, German, Hungarian, and Italian for many years as well as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. My students range from middle school to adults.
I specialize in test preparation for SSAT/ISEE/HSPT/CAASPP, SAT, and ACT. My students learn how the tests are constructed and how to greatly increase the probability of choosing the right answer.
I have a Master's Degree in French, a secondary teaching credential, and have taught at the high school and college levels.
Getting those AHA! moments from students when they all of a sudden understand.

When I first speak with the student or parent, I determine the current status of the student, goals, timeline, and how soon the student would like to start. Sometimes the student hasn't had the practice or the entire content in the subject, so we work first on assessing the need and then filling the gaps in order to progress towards the goals.
