About Karla
I have been teaching for approximately 5 years in both middle and high school math. I was a TA and tutor for 7 years. I enjoy working with students mostly because I help them feel more confident in the area of math and they get less anxiety in their Math class.
I got started into teaching because of my previous years working as a teacher assistant.
I have a BA in math and credential to teach it. I have been working in the educational field for over a decade. I look forward to helping students feel more comfortable with math and to potentially seek careers in the math and science fields.

I do an initial assessment of their Fondation al skills and then I see what is the best learning style. Afterward I try to get an understanding of their struggles and begin to strengthen those areas then move forward to put them in the grade level needed.
I have worked with EL students, students with disabilities and the wide range of students from low to high.
I would suggest that they request proof of expertise.
