I had Jake Sills as a math teacher in high-school and he was very knowledgeable. He taught the material with clarity and precision, filling in anything I didn’t understand along the way. It has helped me with my foundation that I am now applying in Engineering at college.

Mr. Sills is an excellent Algebra teacher who believes in his students. He is knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He builds confidence in his students by believing everyone can learn challenging math concepts. Five stars! Highly recommend.

Jake Sills is a fantastic teacher who truly cares about you as a student. I had him as my Honors Pre-Calculus teacher and he made sure that each individual student had a grasp on the many difficult concepts that came with the class. His ability to break down each problem into ways that we as a class understood them is the reason I passed the class. Without Jake Sills as my teacher I would not have even attempted taking Honors Pre-Calculus and I am very grateful for my time with him as he bettered my mathematical skills.

Mr. Sills cares deeply about each one of his students. He connects well to each student and adapts to their learning style to ensure their success. He is patient and understanding, creating a relaxed environment to ask questions and work on problems. He meets each student where they are at and goes above and beyond in making sure they feel confident and have mastered the material. His love for his students is very evident in the way he teaches!

I had him as a Pre-Calculus teacher and had a phenomenal experience. He really encouraged growth and each week I could see how much I was improving in math. I remember having a difficult time taking exams, and he personally took the time to help me improve my test-taking skills and guided me in how to think more critically through math problems. I gained a lot of confidence in his class and he was always so kind and personable to all of the students. An extremely approachable person and I am very grateful to have had him as a teacher.

Jake was one of the best math teachers I ever had. I have never been naturally gifted with math, but Jake made it easy to understand and truly helped me excel in the subject. His patience and ability to breakdown and explain topics in easily understandable steps made even the most challenging math concepts simple to understand!

Jake Sills was one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. Math has never been my subject and when I got to Pre-Calc, I had no idea what I was doing. Jake was consistently patient with me, would spend extra time explaining things to me, and would always be encouraging. He always congratulated me when I did well on a test or would be willing to help me understand what I did wrong when I didn’t do well. He truly cares about his students and wants you to succeed. He is a great teacher. He will explain the concepts very clearly and with plenty of examples to demonstrate that concept. He was able to answer any and all questions that I had, and ended doing well in my class.
