About Tanner
I am a successful lifelong student. I have always had a passion for science and math since elementary school. I graduated high school with my associates degree and then went on to get my bachelors degree and graduate Magna Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering (yes, lots of math and science) from Brigham Young University. I now work as a Logistics Engineer and have started tutoring all ages. While yes, math and science are more natural to me, I have always enjoyed helping my peers and others understand the concepts and apply them to problems.
I enjoy helping others find sucess. My goal is to not only help the students learn the concepts, but also enjoy doing so. They may not love math/science/engineering, but I want to help them enjoy learning about it and also find joy in their success.
In high school and college, I found myself understanding things quicker than some of my classmates. I often became excited by what I was learning/understanding and wanted to help my classmates understand and have the same excitement. The more I did, the better I became at teaching and the better I learned the material myself.
- Worked as a volunteer tutor for college level physics
- Graduated Magna Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from BYU
- Work with the youth at the local church on a weekly basis
