About Trinity
I am currently a 6th Grade teacher with certifications in all core subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, English) for grades 4-8. I also have my High School English certification. I love teaching 4th-8th graders and am comfortable and experienced teaching engaging lessons virtually. I love helping students one on one, as I feel it provides the BEST opportunity for those light bulb moments to be celebrated!!
I love seeing those light bulb moments and growth in student confidence when they GET IT!!
I have been a teacher for 3 years, and I absolutely LOVE my job.
I am currently certified in Texas in the following areas: Core Subjects (Science, Social Studies, Math, English) grades 4-8, ESL certification, Special Education, and English, Language Arts, and Reading grades 9-12.

I like to review any available test data, current grades with assignment descriptions, or parent feedback to obtain an idea of where deficiencies for the student occur. I also like to speak with both parents AND students to talk about weaknesses AND strengths and set achievable goals for our time together. I also like to know what type of learner each student is, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. I spend some time getting to know each student as an individual because I know the most important aspect of a learning environment is an environment where students feel safe and cared about.
I have taught 8th grade reading intervention for struggling students, 8th grade ELAR, 5 and 6th grade all core classes. I have also worked closely with Special Education students in all core areas.
Believe in yourself and know that your struggles do NOT reflect a lack of intelligence. We ALL learn differently, and there is NOTHING wrong with needing information presented in a different way than you received in a classroom full of students.
With the semester recently coming to a close, I was able to provide intensive intervention for approximately 8 students to allow them to achieve passing grades in all core areas. I have a special place in my heart working with students who are struggling in class because they are lacking that individualized attention.
