About Sami
I started by helping my friend's younger brother learn math and he was able to see improvement in his grade. I found out that I could break down complex mathematical concepts for a student into something easy to understand.
I am an Industrial and Systems Engineering Senior at Virginia Tech with a strong background in math and statistics.

I would start by gauging their basic knowledge in math and working up before immediately trying to solve the homework problem. In addition, I'd like to gain an understanding about how the student feels about the subject and see how I could get them excited about it! I see alot of gaps in that school teachers fail to explain why the student REALLY needs to know the content

Make sure you feel comfortable telling them your weakness

Sami was excellent at delivering some complex mathematics concepts, is kind to the point, and easy to talk to. Sami had the ability to relate with me and helped me work through my overall frustration in math. He helped me understand the utility behind why this subject matter is of value, whether I pursue engineering, business, or any career really
