About Mariam

I take my time with my students. I am in college so I understand how frustrating it may be when you do not understand a concept. But, I promise to go over it however many times you need me to, so that you can understand!

I first started teaching my younger brother, Joseph. After that, I started branching out to my friend's siblings and helping everyone that needed help with math.

I was able to skip two years of high school, and move straight to college. I earned my GED when I was 16 years old. Currently, I am taking courses in Calculus II. I choose to tutor in basic math because I feel like I am able to explain it best to the person I am tutoring.

When I first start tutoring a student, I like to see how much they know so I can understand exactly what they need help with. From then on, I will teach them concepts and give them worksheets so they can fill out in front of me (asking me for help when they need it).

I have worked with all sorts of students. I have worked with both children and teenagers. I have also tutored children with disabilities before, so that will never be an issue with me!
