About Alexander
I am a New York and North Carolina certified math teacher for middle and high school grades with a MA in mathematics with a secondary undergradtuate major in middle and secondary mathematics education. I taught at a community college as well as a high school and even, briefly, as an elementary teacher (grades 4 and 5).
In addition to my degrees and teaching experience, I have been tutoring in some capacity for 14 years. I began tutoring as a student and have continued to tutor through my teaching career because it is my favorite format through which to interact with students. I love the immediate feedback and interaction as well as the ability to adjust strategies and pacing to fit the learner's needs precisely.
