About Carl
I strive to create individualized learning programs for each of my clients based on their strengths, challenges, and unique learning styles. I also offer integreating mindfulness training to help my clients' gain confidence and reduce anxiety.
I have worked in special education for over 10 years including 2 years as a special education teacher in the New York City public school system. With a Master's degree in Birth-6th grade special education, I find my experience and training gives me unique insights into how to best meet the needs of individual learners.

I enjoy seeing my clients' meet and conquer the challenges that come with learning new material/skills. As a student, I often struggled with my own learning challenges and feel honored to now be able to help others as my own teachers helped me in the past.

I begin with new students by interviewing them to learn about their challenges, strengths, interestes, and learning styles. I then utilize brief (5 mins or less) learning assessments in order to greater understand my client's instructional needs. Finally, I work with my client to set goals that are attainable yet challenging.
