About Brenda
I love the feeling of accomplishment that I can share with a student when they "get it" and feel successful. Many students feel that they're just not good at math, instead of realizing that it just takes practice.
I've been a math teacher for 4 years, and my favorite part of the job is small group lessons with struggling students, because it's so much more helpful to them than a whole class setting.
I'm a NJ Certified Elementary Teacher (k-6) with a Middle School Math Specialization (6-8)
I'm a certified teacher with a specialization in math, up to grade 8. I've taught 5th grade and 7th grade math for 2 years each, and tutor my struggling students after school and at lunch.
