About Michael
I recently graduated with an engineering degree. I am also a strong writer and communicator. I currently have nothing but time to dedicate to my students. I am patient and willing to start from the basics. I break down problems step-by-step so that students can ace their exams. Please text me at (concealed information) if you need a tutor. The reason I do not use this website for communication is that it charges money every time I send a quote.
I don't have any formal experience teaching. My teaching experience comes from helping peers with their classes and providing informal tutoring for them.
I have a degree in Biomedical Engineering where I took classes in Algebra, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Statistics. I received an A in all of these courses and during each course, I provided informal tutoring for my peers.

I start by asking if the student is struggling or simply wants someone to work through problems with them. If they are struggling, Ill ask them to choose a few homework problems that they are having trouble with and work through those problems with them. I like to take my time when working through the problems because that allows the student to better understand concepts. After working through the problems with the students, I like to give the student a couple of similar problems and let them solve them on their own. After the solve the problems, I like to check their work and ask them questions about why they solved the problem the way they did. I also like to leave some time toward the end of the session for final questions from the student and to give them some helpful tips.
I have worked with one elementary school students developing his arithmetic. I have worked with highschool students algebra skills. I have helped college students with calculus and pre calculus. I have also helped students with chemistry and biology.

I struggled with math since Algebra. Recently, I decided to take the time to really learn Algebra and some calculus. Michael was able to explain each concept in a way that my teachers never could. He answered all of my questions even when they seemed unnecessary. I have never understood math better than I do now. Michaels background in engineering seems to give him a practical standpoint on math which makes it easier to understand and learn.
