I started training there when I was 17. I'm now 32. The atmosphere is always welcoming and encouraging. Lead by two true gentleman of the ring, Luke and Joe, you can be assured not only the highest quality in martial arts training, but a safe, friendly environment for all. Ive being at lions den the last 10 or more years. I was probably 39 wen i first walked in to the den.
I was introduced by a great personal friend at the time by the name of Sandesh Limbu originally from Nepal. Along with Sandesh and a bunch of other great guys who came from australia, new zealand, nepal, italy..we all came together working the Metro night club on George st in the city. From the night club i was introduced by sandesh to luke pizzutti owner of the lions den academy in Kingsgrove. From that day ive being at the academy ever since.
A great eviroment run by luke MMA, Wrestling, BJJ, & kickboxing and Joe Laferla, Boxing. Both top of the Grade tutors .
Luke is a former 2 time World Pankration Champion. And Joe won numerous golden gloves and australian titles

Amazing place to train, truly inspirational. I have a Lions Den Academy poster at my desk to inspire me to get through the day at work. Luke (ex world champion) is an inspirational trainer and a true gentleman.

Wrote my review in years gone by. I'm old school man. Did it solid for ten years. All up been 15 years, starting at 40 I'm now 55

I took my 11 year old son down to the Lions Den in October 2017 with the aim of helping him understand how to us his body and strength. Luke and the boys have done fantastic job with the him. He loves it. I've been in and around Gyms the past 26 years and this ones good one. Love the old school gym feel, Would highly recommend the Lions Den to anyone looking for a honest down to earth training environment with good ethics and more importantly good people.
