About Jessica
I'm a recent 2022 graduate of Arizona State University, where I received my Bachelors of Science in Speech and Hearing Science and a Speech Language Pathology Assistant Certificate. During my last semester at ASU, I interned in ASU's Accent Modification Tele-therapy Clinic where I provided accent reduction services to international ASU students. I make accent services functional and relevant to your needs and use my knowledge of linguistics and phonetics to help you achieve your goals! I use evidence-based practice that I have learned through my studies to ensure the best services are provided. Each lesson plan will be customized for YOU!
I enjoy connecting with my clients to learn about their culture and making my services FUN! I love helping others to achieve their goals for better communication so they can succeed in their daily lives!

1. Case History (I will ask questions to learn about where the client is from, how long they have been in the United States, how often they speak English, why they are seeking accent services, what they do for work)
2. Evaluation using the Compton Phonological Assessment to assess what sound substitutions the client uses
3. Write an evaluation report comparing English phonemic inventory versus their native language's phonemic inventory and create short term goals which target each of the sounds the client wants to work on
4. Create lesson plans using PowerPoint which can be screen shared via zoom (lesson plans consist of auditory bombardment, auditory discrimination, and verbal practice of targeted sound)
