About Mariana
Hello! I am a dedicated, patient, and warm educator with 5 years of experience teaching grades K-6 in NYC public schools and 10+ years experience working with children.
One of my favorite things about working with students one-on-one is to be able to better understand how they view themselves as mathematicians.
Many children (and adults) have an anxiety specific to mathematics. It’s my goal to help students regulate not only their mathematics skills, but also their emotions while working through real world math problems. Once students begin to view themselves as mathematicians, then the real learning begins!

I love working with students to improve not only their mathematics skills, but also their mathematics self-identity.
