About Emily
I am a 2020 Masters graduate from the University of Missouri - Columbia where I received my M.Ed in Counseling Psychology from the College of Education. I have two undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Psychology, and I have a passion for learning and teaching.
My desire lies in helping others to become agents of their own learning. As a therapist, I am an advocate for individual success and am along for the ride with any and all students who need a little extra support. I am a top tier writer and can provide writing samples upon request. Basically a grammar police - and have a keen eye for mistakes and areas of improvement. Making sure you have a relationship and have built rapport is one of the most important things before anything can be accomplished as a team. I like to spend a little time getting to know each of my students to ensure that they are getting the most out of our time together. I like to assign small small "homework" to encourage learning outside of sessions/classes.

I want to make sure learning is accessible to all of those who need it and could benefit from a little extra support, so I offer a sliding scale fee! Based on monthly income* lessons/tutoring sessions can be as little as $10/ hour.
< $500/ month = $10/hour
< $1,000/month = $15/hour
< $1,500/month = $20/hour
$1,500 +/month = $25/hour
