About Van
My name is Van and I have been teaching English as a Second Language since 2010. I started in private institutions teaching adults and college students with their social and academic English skills. After I got my Masters in ESL Education in 2015, I taught English through literature to long-term ELs at a high school before moving to a 4-6 city charter school, and finally, ending up at a suburban elementary school. For the last six years, I have taught English to elementary students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. I have a range of English levels from newcomers to advanced. Their first languages include: Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Telegu, Marathi, Tagalog, and Albanian. Every day, I learn something new from my diverse students and their families.

My lessons start at $50 an hour if you can meet in Braintree during weekdays.
I charge more for distance if I have to travel to meet you.
For remote lessons, I charge $45 an hour.
