About Antonio
I am currently a graduate student in a counseling degree program. I also work full-time in an administrative capacity for the University of Texas at Austin, in a team that seeks to help students feel that their school is a place where they belong.
I was born in bilingual city of El Paso, with high fluency in Spanish. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2016 with a bachelors in international studies, with a focus on commerce/Latin America. My undergraduate coursework includes multiple business courses (at least 4 in economics) and high-level Spanish literature.
I have previously worked as a graduate assistant in the political science department in Texas State University assisting undergraduate students, leading exam reviews, and in other forms of support.
At the same time, I substituted exclusively for Navarro ISD and decided to seek out teaching certification and passed subject tests in Social Studies (7-12) and Core Subjects (4-8). I really want to pick back up on the skills I had built in connecting with these young students as I look to the future working with this population in mental health and development.
