About Sylvil
Hello, I am Sylvil. I am teacher. I currently hold an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor's degree in psychology, a Masters in education and a Ph.D in Educational Psychology.
It has always been my passion to aim for success for my students. My only desire for my students' success is to remind them to reinforce what they learn and keep on an learning track for success. One of my success stories played our in one of my sucessful students, let's call her J.
J had less than basic knowledge of reading skills. Though tedious, she was ready to learn to read. She was attentive and had a positive attitude to learn. Yes, J worked hard but made learning fun as she embraced learning with the desire for success. After nine tedious months, J was assessed the state standarized test. Amazingly, she passed her reading comprehension with flying colors (higher than students without reading problems). I was not amazed because I believed in J. I knew that with my professional skills and expertise my student aimed for success. Learning is an experience that no one should be cheated of.

My typical process for working with a new student is to first, get to know the student and where he/she is academically (learning styles). It would be necessary for me to grasp the opportunity to monitor where the student wants to go with learning and how much success he/she antcipates. It would be necessary to take a step-by-step process to get the student to see the big picture of the end results of my teaching and learning expertise.
