I first like to see what their goals are in the class. What the strengths and weakness are. And from there decide what subjects in the class need to be focuced on more than others.
I will then have then present me the subjects that are struggling with in class and teach on that first.
I prefer students to send me their homework and/or class subjectives before our meets so that I can have a lesson ready but that will not be required.
I am very flexible. If the student would like spend the time asking questions they are welcome to, or I can teach based on their questions, or I have a licture ready. Whatever helps the student grasp the most infomation and learn the most works for me!
