About Jake

I'm a philosophy major graduating from Columbia University in the City of New York, with a 4.0 GPA. I will be entering a PhD program in 2021. I was the youngest finalist for a New York Times philosophical op-ed contest by ten years and have been published by the American Philosophical Association's blog. I'm also an Executive Editor at Columbia's Undergraduate Law Review, in which I oversee forty writers and edit their articles for publication. While my expertise is in social and political philosophy, I'm well-versed in all social sciences and can research accordingly to suit the student's needs. I can provide extensive written feedback that provides instructive feedback so that the student may learn themselves how to write well (to the point where I would no longer be needed!).

Apart from my academic credentials, I worked for three summers at my local Boys and Girls Club as a camp counselor, so I have experience working with children of all ages.

I can also provide essay editing services, including college admissions essays!

Please be as specific as possible for what you would like to use my services!

While I'm interested in academic research and publication, teaching budding writers, philosophers, and thinkers is one of my foremost aspirations. I want to help each and every student learn to think for themselves. I can think of no better use of my free-time than teaching students who need it.

Feel free to email me at (concealed information) for inquiries.

Jake edited my highschooler's college admissions essays not only with extensive edits, but helpful comments to allow my student to become a better writer himself. We will definitely be using Jake again for essay editing!
