About Kristine

I am a two-time Rutgers University graduate who recieved my Masters in Education from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education in 2013. After grad school, I taught as a classroom teacher for 8 years where I worked in some of the top rated school districts in New Jersey. I've worked with students in elementary school & middle school as a general education & middle school teacher.

I currently work at Rutgers University as an Academic Coach where I help college students & graduate students in areas such as time management, stress management, & study skills.

I am available for remote tutoring at the following times:

Mondays 6-10pm

Thursdays 6-10pm

Fridays 9am-5pm

Saturdays & Sundays by request

I love being able to make a difference in the lives of students. One-on-one tutoring allows me to collaborate with the student to determine what areas they would like to improve & how we can make those improvements happen.

I have 8+ years experience as a teacher in some of the top rated school districts in New Jersey. I have worked with students from kindergarten-college.

I have a masters in education degree from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education.

About the lesson

First, the student will explain what brought them to tutoring. Then, we will work together to create a game plan, whether they need assistance with a specific class, assignment, or just general help. From there, we will work on a specific assignment or skill as determined by the student. At the end of each session, we will evaluate the success of the session & set action steps for the next session.

$45 per hour long session.

All payments are due before the session begins. Student will not be permitted into Google Meet session without payment. All payments must be made via Venmo (username @Kristine-Byrnes ).
