About Karlie

I put your needs first and make it my mission to get to know you as an individual to provide instruction that is tailored to your learning needs to help you achieve your goals!

I enjoy working with students and scholars to help each individual meet their goals and reach success in our avenues of study and tailored instruction.

I started teaching English after taking my directing classes in my undergraduate program and realizing that I enjoyed directing and providing instruction to my peers. Seeing the end result of a process that we worked through together and their accomplishments as individuals was a truly rewarding experience.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my students as individuals and their goals for our sessions together! I like to have my students complete a personality test so that I know how to best approach each student in their learning process and provide instruction that is unique to each learner and their goals. I value their feedback and our time together, so I provide frequent check-ins and use each session to work through what each student would like to improve.

I have worked with students and scholars of all ages. I tend to work more with high-schoolers (I teach high school English.) and adults because I have my own business as a life and relationship coach who helps people out of toxic relationships, friendships, and places of employment.

I have taught:

- Honors World Literature.
- On-level Ninth and Tenth Grade Literature and Composition.
- Theatre Arts Literature.

- gifted classes.

- Drama.

I am certified in Advanced Placement Literature.
I am certified to teach English to students who are in 6th grade through college level.
I have worked with doctorate-level students through their paper-writing processes.
I passed the GACE and EdTPA at the professional level.
I made a perfect score in grammar on the GACE.
