About the lesson

I like to get to know your personality and interest, then get to know your glows and grows as a learner. Finally I tailor my lesson plans to meet your needs based on your glows and grows as well as your personality. I always want to keep your interested and engaged in the lesson.

I have worked with students and clients with diverse and varrying backgrounds.

Autism, Emotional Disturbance, ADD, ADHD, ESL, ELL

Back injury, knee injury, high blood pressure

Go with a teacher that you feel you can be comfortable around. Someone who will be their authentic self and will be accepting of your authentic self.

Ask them about their previous experience that you are interesting getting help with. Don't be scared to be clear about your needs and wants, as well as things you dont need or want.

It always brings joy and warmth to my heart to see my students be promoted to the following grade at the end of the school year.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are two strengths that you currently possess and are proud of?

What are areas that you need help with?

What practices, strategies have been most helpful to you learning a new skill in the past?

Anika was the best tutor I ever worked with. She was patient and kind with my son, and mixed in fun activities to keep him engaged. I saw significant improvement over the summer and my son was reading a grade level by the following Fall.
