About Praneeth
I am a Business and English/Creative Writing double major at Emory University.
Very familiar with the recent SAT and I took it last year, achieving a 1570/1600, with a 790 in Math, 780 in English, and a perfect score in Grammar.
I am a National Merit Scholar, with a 1470/1520 on the PSAT.
I want to make sure my clients can maximize their appeal to colleges and have every option available to them. I also offer help in English and essay writing.
I myself relied on a tutor in senior year of high school. Since neither of my parents were familiar with the college process, I was left confused and lost before my tutor helped guide me. I like that I'm able to leave a positive influence on the students I help. Whether it is improving their application, overcoming their weaknesses, or increasing their confidence, it's easy to see the impact that tutors can have on their students' successes.
Mostly in college, when I would review some of my friends' essays and help them proofread or write them.
Very familiar with the new SAT exam format.
Familiarity in working with kids, middle school students, and high school students.
Currently studying English at Emory University.

First step is always to determine the student's strengths and weaknesses, where their progress is at currently, their study habits and exercises, and what they feel they need to focus on.
After that, we set a target goal or rate of improvement to keep the student motivated and focused.
The student will then determine the amount of time we focus on each subject. before moving on to exercises and testing strategy.
Finally, assigning my student homework to do between classes.
High school and college students.
For the SAT specifically, make sure they are familiar with the new style of SAT.
For tutoring in general, pay attention to that first lesson. Sometimes tutors just don't click with certain students, and that's to be completely expected.
Remember that a tutor can only give you what you put into it. No tutor can offer much help to students who don't take initiative on their own and actively practice outside classes.

How much time have you been putting into fixing your shortcomings, and how much more time can you put into it?
Can your parents help? They have been through much of what you have been through and are often your best source of support.
Can you concentrate? Setting a schedule and making sure you have a designated studying area with limited distractions is helpful for academics, art, and life in general.
