About Camille
Hello! My name is Camille Chung, and I am a rising senior at the Winsor School in Boston. I have been a passionate English student for as long as I can remember. I am willing to connect with younger students to tutor a range of topics from grammar to persuasive writing to creative writing. English is my strongest subject, and I have tutoring experience with ages from 10-15. I am a passionate, energetic, creative, and optimistic tutor, and I hope you will consider me to tutor your child!

My goal is to encourage growth and healthy learning. I'm not here to penalize mistakes, as they are a completely human part of learning. I want my students to grow as writers, readers, and learners in general. Helping people, whether it's helping a student solve a math problem quickly or editing someone's paper, has always been an area of expertise and a hobby of mine. Teacher-student relationships are incredibly important to me, so I would love to just get to know my student: their interests, hobbies, and aspirations. After getting to know them a little bit, I let the student tell me what they would like to work on. I then set up exercises and lessons to match their academic priorities.
I have worked with students from age 10 to age 15. I definitely work better with younger students, as I have more experience, but grammar can get difficult freshman year!

Details
I often let the parent/guardian decide the general pricing range, as I'm not a fan of the elitist system (with ACT and SAT tutoring) where some kids cannot receive the same learning opportunties as others simply because of their class. My goal is to educate and encourage growth, not to make a profit. You choose!
