About Corin
I'm a junior at Yale University who's passionate about helping students with their academic writing.
Writing well is simply writing efficiently. I draw on classics like Strunk & White's The Elements of Style and William Zinsser's On Writing Well to help my students tell efficient sentences from clumsy ones as we collaboratively edit their work. Then, following the Yale Writing Center’s paragraph guides, my students learn how well-written sentences fit together into a persuasive essay.
This method has worked for my former students, but I’m also happy to help with specific goals or projects.
Qualifications:
- 2 years tutoring experience
- 99th percentile SAT reading/writing
- Accepted to Yale, Stanford, and Princeton
- Written 40+ college essays
