About Lucas
I have been acting and performing since I was in the 3rd grade, and I use my diverse stage and professional experience to help students grow their passions and drive them toward their career goals.
The English language is always growing and evolving and I have fun discovering new genres and new mediums and learning about how the old has inspired the new and sharing that with other people.
My first teaching job was tutoring at the Huntington Learning Center in Bellevue, WA. My job was to tutor high school students on the English sections of the SAT and ACT tests.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from the University of Washington.
I am also a former tutor at the Huntington Learning Center.

I build a teaching process around a student and find out what works for them and focus most on what they need to improve on.
I mainly used to tutor students in the English section of the SAT and ACT prep tests in order to prepare them for the real thing.
There is nothing wrong with creating something at, at first glance, seems horrible. Whether it's an essay, a poem, a short story or a novel, it can always be improved upon. It may take research, time or help from an outside source, but whatever you're writing can get better and I am happy to help you.
In January of 2020, I self-published my first novel: The Misadventures of Jayna Whitman, which I had been working on for three years prior to release.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think that students should really think hard about their goals. They should have a realistic idea of what it is that they are trying to aim for because once a student has a goal set in mind, a teacher can direct them down the best path toward reaching that goal.
