About Elvis

I was one of the writers of the school paper publication when I was in college. I am one of the assigned managing editors. I was writing columns and feature stories back then. Before I graduated, I had the opportunity to participate in a national press whose participants were student journalists held in Bohol. At first, I had no interest in writing because I admitted to myself that I was not smart and good at it. But I enjoy doing essay writing because it teaches me to develop ideas. And as time went on, I gradually learned how to love it with the help of my former teacher and school publication colleagues. We work together to develop ideas that we can put into our writing to share with our fellow students in school.

I am currently working as "Technician" in Hannstar Display Corporation which can be found at No.35 Nanke 2nd Road,Xinshi District.,Tainan City,Taiwan. I started working here last April 2015 up to Present.

Before I finished my studies. I had the experienced of teaching in a public school, I was a student teacher there. The ones I taught in that school were the secondary students. At first I had hard time in adjusting because of the students different types of behavior. But with the help of my two critic teachers who supported me and gave a pieces of advice before and after I enter my class, as time passed by, I gradually adjusted and enjoyed my day-to-day teaching. It took me only a month to teach there but it was great to feel like I learned a lot from them because of the messages they shared with me the last day that I was going to say goodbye. It was then that I realized that if you always have a heart in what you are doing, it can really make a difference and leave a good mark for other people.

About the lesson

My typical process in working with a new student is to start with a 15-20 minute coversation. Knowing about the background of the student. When working with a student, one of the most important aspect of the entire process is building a affinity. At this point in time, students have potentially struggled with various topics, so the importance of instilling confidence in them before any tutoring begins is essential to their success. Iwould also want to meet with the student and/or parent(s). I'd llike to work hand in hand to build an specific plan of action. I want the student to tell something about their past expereinces on their studies or simply give me a brief description of their current situation and their desired results after the class session.After so,I am going to come up with a set of goals and how to implement the plan of action properly in order to accomplish said results. This plan depends on the immediate needs of the student.
