About Berklie
High school student, top of my class, and wants to help other students excell. I am good at English especially essay writing and would love to assist peers or kids younger than me who may be struggling with this subject.
I have been academically assisting my friends and classmates for years and I thought tutoring to others would be a great idea as it gives me a chance to interact with people and really help them be the best student they can be. I think still being in school is a huge advantage as it lowers the age gap between me and those I'm helping, making the experience more personal.
I have wanted to tutor kids for a long time and decided to finally start, I am looking very forward to building those connections and helping in any way I can.
I am admittedly somewhat new to professional tutoring but I have a lot of experience with peers as well as kids of family friends. I am also top of my class in grades so I am academically qualified to work with those my age and younger (sophomore in highschool, soon to be junior).

I like to start by having a discussion on what the student and parent(s) would like to get out of our time together and then evaluate the student's knowledge on the topic so that we know where to start and how to evolve from that point.
I have worked with peers on all subjects, not just English, and I have been able to explain things clearly and effectively. I've also taught kids younger than me who were family friends.
Honestly I believe it is important to look for someone who suits your needs. I believe working with a fellow student makes the experience more personal and better developed.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think it is important to know what topics you need help with and the ways you learn best but if you are unsure, I'm more than happy to explore those with you.
