About Noe

Hi! My name is Noe (No-ee) and I am super passionate about teaching English. As it was my favorite subject in school, I have scored fives on both the AP Literature exam as well as the AP Language exam. I have thorough experience as a teacher's assistant, a position in which I frequently proofread, graded, and critiqued the essays of my peers. My essays have won many scholarships, job opportunities, etc. I look forward to teaching and working with you as you strive to become the best writer you can be!

As I was very successful in school, teachers often asked me to help with other students. I fell in love with tutoring others as it was extremely rewarding for me.

I earned fives on both the AP Literature and AP Language Tests. I have been a teacher's assistant for many years which allows me to get a teacher's perspective on the grading process, expectations within an academic setting, ideas for improvement, among other things. I have also taught English at the elementary school level, where I was able to aid students in improving their test scores and reading levels.

About the lesson

First, I always like to ask a student for past work as well as the grades that they received. After carefully analyzing the work done in the classroom, I am able to explain to the student why they may have gotten a grade that was dissatisfactory. From here, I am able to see where their strengths and weaknesses are with their writing, analysis of a text, studying habits, test-taking strategies, etc. With a student's strengths and weaknesses in mind, I am able to help them improve greatly in a short amount of time using this targeted method of teaching.

I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. I have taught at the elementary school level in the areas of English, science, and math. I have also taught English at the middle school level as well as history and English at the high school level. I even offered test prep for the AP Literature and AP Language exams at my school.
