About Angela
I have a passion for helping students succeed and do their very best. I am a certified English language arts teacher in the state of CT. My certification is grades 4-8. I am currently teaching 6th grade in Bridgeport CT. This is my 6th year teaching and I will be the assistant principal of the middle school this coming fall.
I enjoy watching students succeed, and knowing that I could be a part of the process is exciting.
I did an internship for my masters degree. I was a substitute teacher for 1 year. After I graduated, I continued to substitute in the same school district until I found my current teaching job.
I have a teaching certification and have participated in several professional developments. Also, I am a 7th grade English teacher with a masters degree in Middle School English Education

When working with a new student, it is important to develop a good rapport. Also, it is also great to figure out the students specific learning style. For example, some students are auditory learners, some are visual etc. Once this is figured out, it is important to find out what the student already knows and what the student needs to learn. Giving the student a pre-test can determine which areas of weakness the student has as well as the student's strengths.
