About Krista
I have a passion for literature as well as creative and essay writing. I have a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Michigan State University, where I graduated from in 2017. I scored a 28 on my high school ACT score in writing as well. My work has been featured in the Lansing City Pulse and Basic magazine based in L.A. I would love to help students develop their authentic voice as writers and learn the nuances of studying literature. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

I consult with the student and his or her parents about the areas that need more attention. I look over their recent assignments to gauge where they are and what needs to be proved upon. We start with exercises that show me their writing style and how they approach writing in general. Based on the weaker aspects of writing, I create a plan that outlines their next steps to becoming a stronger writer and a more critically thinking English student.
I have worked with middle school, high school, and undergraduate students. All these different age groups have similar issues with writing, including structure, grammar, style, and lack of interest.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should evaluate what their problem areas are and what their strengths are. It would be helpful if they know where they meet road blocks when writing or studying English so that we can develop new approaches.
