About Hannah

I've always had a passion for reading and writing, but I love nothing more than seeing my student's eyes light up when they finally find their own passion.

I have taught reading and reading comprehension to both students with disabilities or those who just wanted a little extra practice, college prep, essay writing, and SAT/ACT practice for students about to move towards their college career, and even basic reading and reading comprehension to adults who decided to finally take the brave step of learning to read later in life.

Most people don't know that a strong base in reading and writing can actually alter your brain in a positive way that you'll carry throughout your entire career and life. You learn memory skills which transcend all subjects, reading comprehension which allows for deeper understanding of all study materials, and visual memory tools that helps form photographic memory and visual recall. I can help!

Working at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes

I have numerous degrees in Creative Writing, Poetry, English and Spanish. I have always loved reading and writing, and I'm currently working on my first novel.

Training wise, I have been trained in specifically teaching basic reading, reading comprehension, and writing to people of all skill levels, including those with learning and mental disabilities or anyone who simply wants to boost their skills in a particular area. From anyone wanting to learn how to read from scratch, learn how to study better, write more succinctly, maybe you're struggling with dislexia, or struggling to recall information you've read for a test, I can help!

About the lesson

Students are almost never "bad" at a subject. They've just been taught skills that don't work for their particular brains. Understanding how your student perceives the world, how their natural memory and comprehension skills work, and what kind of learning not only helps them to complete the material, but thrive and enjoy their work is the first step. Everything after that is teaching them how to use their new understanding of themselves to succeed easier and faster!
