About Katherine
To put it simply, I'm a former English and Special Education teacher. I have a passion for reading, and I'm currently making a living doing the two things I love most: writing and helping students learn in ways that work best for them.
I have always loved reading. My teachers had a huge impact on my literary passions, so I knew teaching would be such a great way for me to inspire others to love reading, too.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts and Reading. I am certified in teaching 7-12th grade English, EC-6th grade core subjects, and EC-12 special education.

I like to start by getting to know the students I'll be working with. I ask about hobbies, interests, and passions. I truly believe that students are most successful when they are engaged, and I like to incorporate their preferences whenever possible.
I have worked with mainstream students and students with special needs between the ages of 3 and 18!
