About Erika
I'm a college student with teaching experience looking to help students and parents during this homeschooling time. I was homeschooled my entire life so I have experience with practical home studying skills and online formats.
Fall of 2018 I took an internship with the Institute for Cultural Communicators where I got to develop speech and problem-solving curriculum for students ages 8-19 in Singapore Philippines and Malaysia. I also have experience coaching the summer swim team, teaching merit badges with the Boy Scouts of America. I'm currently working on my college degree in English and Philosophy at CSU.
I love sharing knowledge, figuring out what works for each individual, and watching students grow. My favorite success story is from when I was in Singapore, a girl told me that at the beginning of the conference she was terrified of speaking in front of her small class. But at the end of the day, she was confident enough to speak in front of the entire conference all because of the training I had been able to give her.
I've been teaching merit badges and swim lessons over the summer for years. Recently I participated in an internship with the Institute for Cultural Communicators where I wrote speech and problem-solving curriculum for students ages 8-19.
Currently I am a student at Cleveland State University working toward my degree in English and Philosophy.
