About Arleen
I am a certified teacher in: K-6 all subjects, K-12 health and physical education (in process: Business Education, English 6-12, Guidance and Counseling, and Hearing Impaired), and I am currently a law school student. I have personal and professional experience in writing/editing college essays, expository writing, and general principles of English.
What I enjoy most is encouraging students to set practical, attainable goals, and tailoring instruction to each individual student's needs to achieve success.
I have a bachelor of science in elementary education with teaching experience in grades K-12. Personally and professionally, I have experience drafting and editing essays for elementary-high school classes, undergraduate admission/courses, and graduate/law school admission/courses.

My typical process for working with a new student is reviewing the student's recent work. I ask the student to identify specific goals they would like to achieve, and after careful review of their work, I also identify specific, attainable goals. Collaboratively, the student, parent(s) and I create a practical and detailed plan for achieving our comprehensive web of goals.
