I would want to get to know them and their learning styles that they feel most comfortable with. This is an opportunity for not only me to get to know the student but for the student to get to know me and see if we are a good fit.
I have worked with all ages mostly younger students ages 4-8 but have done high school tutoring and homework sessions as well.
I would look for a teacher who is open to learning with you and getting to know you so it can be the right fit, like someone who wants to know your learning style, what things do you find fun to do, and making a great connection.
I recently had a baby 4 months ago and I am loving becoming a mom and making new memories with my baby girl.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should sit down and think about how they learn best, what they want in a teacher whether is someone who is strict with the text book or someone who is more laid back and can make learning fun.
