About Jen
I have always been interested in cooking in a broad array of cuisines. I have been fortunate to be exposed to so many different types of foods as I've traveled the world and lived abroad in Jamaica, Nice and Paris France. While living in Jamaica with my husband we owned a B&B (before airb&b) and offered a full menu that included meals from all around the world with lots of happy customers from many countries. Living in the French Riviera and Paris we were able to dine at some of the top restuarants. I recently moved to Raleigh from the San Francisco Bay Area, which remains the top culinary destination in the US. I enjoy being able to get the finest ingrediants to cook from my travels, from African and Carribean to French, Italian, and beyond.
My price includes all of your meals' ingredients, and a yummy meal, usually with leftovers for you to take home. You can also bring your own wine for a $10 corkage fee, or we'll have well-paired wines available for an additional purchase.
I enjoy learning about different tastes from around the world and perfecting them in my own kitchen.

I like to make an initial contact through this platform and share phone numbers so that we can speak directly and nail down all the details. On the night you reserve, I like to start with an appetizer that comes together reasonably quickly, and then proceed to two more dishes that are more involved, either another appetizer and one main, or two mains, depending on what you want when we have our telephone conversation. If there are leftovers, I'll pack them up for you to take home; it's up to you whether you pass them off as your own, or put your new skills to work for your next guests.

Jen is an incredible chef and teacher. I love watching her cook, her pace is perfect, not too fast not too slow. We often have enjoyable conversations while making delicious meal together. She is creative and insightful to different cuisines such as Jamaican and Indian. I always learn something new with her like a spice I have never heard of or how to integrate an ingredient with something I have never tried before. She is fabulous!!

Jen’s Eggplant Parmesan and Sage Sausage Orecchiette was delicious, flavorful, and mouth watering! Soooo good! Her uplifting and spunky personality adds onto the great experience of taking her cooking classes and I would definitely recommend taking her classes!

Jen is super friendly and open and I really felt at home in her kitchen! I've had eggplant in just a handful of dishes in my life and though that was enough...but the eggplant lasagna we made is just phenomenal!! Definitely something I could see eating regularly. You won't regret signing up for this lesson!
Jen’s skills in the kitchen are off the charts. From meats to pastas to vegetarian dishes, she has so many skills and insights to share with the aspiring cook.
Jen did an amazing job of educating me on her extensive knowledge of world cuisine. Her kitchen is beautiful and the ambience is inviting and relaxing. The way she puts together different flavors while educating is inspiring. She is a true artist in the kitchen. And her love for creating new and old dishes is infectious.
