About Andi
Hi! I’m Andi Alla, a Computer Science teacher and Department Head with 7 years of experience teaching high school students in AP Computer Science A (APCSA), AP Computer Science Principles (APCSP), programming, and cybersecurity. I’ve worked with students of all skill levels — from complete beginners learning their first lines of code to advanced AP students preparing for exams and building real-world projects.
I specialize in:
* AP Computer Science A (Java)
* AP Computer Science Principles (Python & Computing Concepts)
* Cybersecurity fundamentals
* Introductory programming
* Web design and development
* Problem-solving and exam preparation
Working with me is supportive, structured, and interactive. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts instead of just memorizing answers. I break down difficult topics into simple steps, use real-world examples, and encourage students to think critically and build confidence in their abilities. I’m patient, approachable, and experienced in adapting lessons to different learning styles.
As both a teacher and technology professional, I bring classroom experience, technical knowledge, and strong communication skills to every session. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and AP exam performance, but also to inspire them to enjoy computer science and develop skills they can use in college and future careers.
Whether you need help with Java, Python, algorithms, cybersecurity concepts, AP exam prep, or coding projects, I’m here to help you succeed!
